Super Showball: How to Play

In this guide, we will go over the basic rules of Super Showball.

Super Showball is a two-player game that is played on a rectangular field with a set of goalposts at each end. The objective of the game is to score more goals than your opponent.

The game begins with a face-off in the center of the field. The ball is placed on the ground and each player tries to tap it with their stick. The player who taps the ball the farthest wins the face-off and gets first possession of the ball.

Players can only use their sticks to touch the ball. They cannot use their hands or any other part of their body. If a player touches the ball with anything other than their stick, they are called for a foul and lose possession of the ball.

Players can run with the ball, but they must dribble it by tapping it on the ground every few steps. If a player does not dribble, they can be called for a traveling violation.

The ball can be passed to teammates, but it cannot be thrown. Players must use their sticks to pass the ball.

When a player has possession of the ball, they can try to score by running towards the goal and hitting the ball into one of the goalposts. If the goalkeeper stops the shot, they can catch or deflect it back out into play. If the goalkeeper allows a goal, they are said to have "let one in."

After a goal is scored, play resumes with another face-off in midfield. The team that did not score now has possession of the ball and tries to score against the other team's defense.

-There are two types of fouls: minor and major. A minor foul results in loss of possession and no free kick is given. A major foul results in a free kick for the fouled team near where the foul occurred. -If attacking players enter into goalkeeper's territory (the area around his net), he can call for an offside penalty which would give his team an indirect free kick from where infringement occurred -A player cannot legally hold onto or pick upthe ball with their hands; doing so results in loss of possesion -If two players from opposite teams collide while both trying to get control oofthe same ball resulting in both players falling down, then it is up to referee's discretion as to who gets possesion
